Perth City & Surroundings

Hmm Perth.. with 1.84 million citizens, it’s a big Australian city and the hub in Western Australia. But after a few visits it still feels like a nice and very sunny village to us. It doesn’t have this metropolitan touch like Melbourne or Sydney.

But it has this magnificent Rottnest Island just 30 min off the shore. With nice rolling hills and the sooo cute quokas it’s a beautiful spot and worth a visit!

Our first visit in Perth was in May 2015 and after two and a half months of farm work in the middle of nowhere we were simply enjoying the benefits of civilization. With a lot of nice bars, shops, restaurants and supermarkets just around the corner, it’s a nice city to calm down. Our top picks? In Freo we had the best chips and burger combo of all time (Jus Burger) and if even Anne can’t finish her drinking chocolate at St. Churros, it’s definitely worth a note.
